Developed a comprehensive geotagging and task management system for agricultural field operations with multi-role web panels (Laravel, Inertia.js, React) and native mobile apps (iOS Swift/UIKit, Android Kotlin/XML). Implemented 3D mapping with Deck.gl, real-time photo geolocation, GPS tracking, automated PDF reporting, and complete VPS deployment with nginx configuration.
Project description
Architected and deployed a full-stack geotagging task management platform specifically designed for agricultural field operations and data collection. The system features a sophisticated multi-role architecture supporting Admin, Officer, and User panels, each with tailored functionality for efficient workflow management. Built a robust Laravel backend API integrated with Inertia.js and React frontend, providing seamless single-page application experience. Implemented Deck.gl for interactive 3D mapping with satellite visualization, enabling precise photo geolocation display on multi-layered maps. Developed an automated PDF reporting system that generates comprehensive field reports with embedded geotagged photos and metadata. Created native iOS application using Swift and UIKit, and Android application using Kotlin and XML layouts, both featuring real-time camera geotagging that captures GPS coordinates and embeds location metadata directly into photographs. Integrated GPS tracking for field personnel monitoring, task assignment/completion workflows, and offline-capable satellite map visualization for remote area operations. Configured and managed VPS server infrastructure with nginx web server, establishing multiple subdomain configurations (api.pic2bim.co.uk for RESTful API endpoints, pic2bim.co.uk for web interface). Implemented security protocols, SSL certificates, and optimized server performance for handling concurrent mobile app connections and large-scale photo uploads.
